Boys State Committee

The Boys State Committee is tasked with managing the District involvement in the American Legion Department of Virginia Boys State program. Under this program, American Legion Posts select outstanding high school students to attend Boys State every year. During the week-long program, participants receive instruction on citizenship and experience first-hand how their State and Federal governments function. They also are responsible for recruiting and managing Staff to volunteer for the Boys State each year.

For more information on the Boys State Program, please see the Boys State entry under the Special Programs menu.
