The American Legion Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Program serves to introduce youth to the field of law enforcement’s principles, discipline, ethics, physical fitness, and teamwork. Programs are conducted in cooperation with local and state law enforcement agencies, and are typically held during the summer at the various law enforcement facilities.
The Department of Virginia in cooperation with the Virginia State Police have an active Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Program. Interested candidates should contact their local American Legion Post to begin the process of applying for this program.
