Next goal is January 2024, or 80%. While the District has met this goal, we need to help those posts who have not met this goal. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! REMINDER 2023 membership expires 31 December. Encourage those who have not renewed to do so as soon as possible and to take advantage of the new three-year renewal plan.

REMINDER – MULTI-YEAR MEMBERSHIP: Starting on 12/4/2023, members will be able to renew their membership for three years at a time. This option can be accessed on the national website at www.legion.org/renew. Only those who have not renewed for 2024 can take advantage of this renewal option at this time. This will be opened up to those who have already renewed for the 2024 membership year at a later date

We are six days away from 75% Goal. As you can see above, several posts are over but some are lagging behind. Please make an effort to reach out to our membership to renew before the holidays. Post Membership Chairs should be doing holiday buddy checks.

With a few weeks to go, we need to get at least 8 percent to get to the next membership goal. Seven posts have achieved this goal. Lets get it going 16th District!

The District membership is at 66.59%. We are a few weeks away from the 75% Dogwood Award goal. The deadline date is 6 December 2023. Currently, three posts 150 Sterling Park, 247 Remington, and 330 Culpeper have made this goal. Commanders and adjutants, please contact your District Vice Commanders for membership assistance. Another note: 2023 Membership expires 1 January 2024. Encourage all Legionnaires to renew now!

Please join us for this free annual parade that honors all Veterans. The 15th Annual Northern Virginia Veterans Parade will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, 4 November in Old Town Manassas. Good news, we are less than .3% short of next week's Veteran's Day Award goal of 65%. We are 10% away of the December goal of 75%. Now is the time to continue with the Buddy Checks as we are go into the holiday season. 

The District is doing well with membership, but we still have a few posts requiring some assistance. Please help with the processing of all renewals. As part of the Buddy Checks, all posts are encouraged to contact everyone who has not renewed over the last two years or more. See you at Williamsburg this weekend.
