15th and 16th District League bylaws It looks as if we will have 4 Senior teams this season: Post 290 Stafford, Post 72 Warrenton, Post 21 Winchester, and Post 34 Leesburg. Post 330 Culpepper has not yet formed a team.   Post 290 is the only League Post to have a Junior team.   I guess it is still possible for other teams to form; but, to date, these are the only Posts to identify their teams.   And we won't know final League, Regional, or Department structure until we have final registrations ...

The Northern Region Oratorical Contest February 19th 2022

Lauren Bradshaw won today's Northern Region, Department of Virginia High School Oratorical Contest. The event was held Saturday Morning at American Legion Post 74, Keswick Virginia. The oratorical contest has two segments the first covering 8-10 minute oration on a subject from the U.S. Constitution, and a 3-5 minute segment on a random subject also based on the constitution. Today, the 16th District Legion Family took time to remember the the Four US Army Chaplains, who gave up their lives for God and Country. 16th District Oratorical Contest January 29, 2022 Post 10 Manassas UPDATE

The 16th District held the Annual Oratorical Contest January, 29th at American Legion Post 10 Manassas. The winner is Lauren Bradshaw who was sponsored by American Legion Post 10.  Miss Bradshaw was the previous year's winner and she will be returning to the regional Oratorical Contest, scheduled to be held at American Legion Post 74 February 19th at 10am. Congratulations to Miss Bradshaw and the other contestants from Post 290 and Post 247.
