The annual Virginia Day On The Hill event will not be quite the same this year due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The Department of Virginia will not be hosting the usual gathering at Department Headquarters and we will not be having a bus to transport us to the Capital. Personal attendance and meeting with Legislators will be in accordance with the Capital guidelines for COVID-19 meetings with Legislators.

Blankets For Veterans
Manassas Post 10 Commander Mark Stein had the honor in December to presented dozens of blankets to Joyce Miller (Post 180) for distribution to Veterans at the Martinsburg VAMC and McGuire VAMC. The blankets were handmade by Post 10 Legionnaire and Auxiliary member Marie Libby. These blankets were distributed to the patients at the VAMCs and were greatly appreciated.

Safety and Security Concerns for Fundraising
A recent incident occurred where an individual robbed a local Post while conducting fund raising at a local Walmart. The incident resulted in some minor injuries to Legionnaires and loss of funds. Most important we are glad there were no serious injuries. There is nothing the Post members did wrong and we appreciate them sharing the details of the incident.
